Located in the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea, Jost Van Dyke is the smallest of the four main islands of the British Virgin Islands with only 8 square kilometers. Jost Van Dyke has unpolluted beaches shaded with coconut palms and sea grape trees.
There are many private boats from Tortola and Saint Thomas via Saint John to Jost Van Dyke. Walking is the best option in Jost Van Dyke as it is only 6 km long. There is a jeep tental agency and a single taxi operator in the Island. If you want to visit nearby smallers islands, water taxis are available.

Jost Van Dyke enjoys a hot sub-tropical climate. The weather is almost constantly sunny and humidity is high. Rainfall is unpredictable.
