Broome Cruises Destination Information

The Stunning Main Port of Broome

Known as the ‘pearling capital of the world’ visitors to Broome were once predominantly pearl fisherman and the town remained a remote outpost on the Kimberley Coast until its eventual emergence as a travel destination. These days, a camel ride on the 20 kilometre long Cable Beach is high on the list of many travellers’ Australian must-dos.

The Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park is home to many saltwater giants, some reaching over 6 metres in length and weighing over 900kg. Take in the city sights on a trike tour (yes, a three seater, three-wheeled bike) and learn about Broome’s history, head off on a shopping tour or take in all the scenery at Gantheaume Point, where red rocks meet the stunning blue sea.
